“Extreme Energy Solutions Plans to Retire Sidewinder Brand-Product”

Source: Extreme Energy Solutions decided to retire the Sidewinder ATV product; redirects its efforts to increasing its portfolio of innovation in the area of emissions reduction technology.

Boise, Idaho, September 29, 2015

You may have seen its unique design tear up the trails side by side of traditional all-terrain vehicles, or maybe you sighted one of these vehicles at a trade show; or maybe you had the spotted a Sidewinder ATV in the back of a pick-up truck as it traveled down the highway. If that is as close as you got to the Sidewinder ATV, from Extreme Off-Road LLC, then that is most likely the closest you may ever get to one of these vehicles.

Extreme Energy Solutions Inc., the parent company of Extreme Off-Road LLC, the entity that builds and sells the Sidewinder ATV, has announced that it will be retiring the product line effective of October 1, 2015. The Company has pledged all of its future efforts toward technology, products, and services that aim to reduce harmful toxic emissions while providing the side benefit of fuel efficiency.

The Sidewinder ATV first started out as a student project at Brigham Young University Tech Students, whom took on the task to design a personal sport off-road vehicle which incorporated safety features not yet standard in the industry, while also creating a vehicle that would be fun to drive. They teamed up with a local fabricator and advisement of Extreme Energy Solutions and then the Sidewinder ATV was born.

Extreme Energy Solutions took over the product/brand in 2012, and attempted to make a run of the product, offering it to the recreational vehicle market. The market received the vehicle with mixed results. Some drivers whom tested the vehicle enjoyed its low center of gravity and ability to tackle light to medium trail use. Others say it lacked the power you might find associated with a racing four wheeler vehicle.

Extreme Off-Road sold a number of these vehicles, including the original production models; however the demand was never great enough to produce these vehicles at a high quantity.  The Sidewinder ATV base model sold for just under $5000 ($4995); which some of the upgraded models would command up to $6995. Options the Sidewinder ATV offered were first responder (police, fire, ems) packages which included being retrofitted with Fox Shocks, larger Subaru engine, custom cages and equipment racks, and first responder light bar packages.

With the parent company’s focus on emissions reduction and green technology, the Sidewinder ATV could not receive the full attention it needed for it to hit the market in a larger capacity.  Extreme Off-Road LLC sold its final available units this past September 2015. Resources and staff once dedicated to the Sidewinder ATV product line will be re-allocated toward expanding product and service offerings within the emissions reduction and green technology sector.

“The Sidewinder ATV was a quality product which prioritized safety and rider comfort,” added Samuel K. Burlum, CEO and President of Extreme Energy Solutions Inc., “The unfortunate situation is that the market makes its primary decision based on price, not quality when it comes to these types of vehicles.”

“We were unwilling to compromise on the features and benefits in which made the Sidewinder ATV unique; for it would have undermined the many safety qualities the product offered.  As a result we were not as competitive as we had hoped.”

The Sidewinder ATV website and logo are still out there on display until the end of 2015. Sidewinder ATV owners whom purchased vehicles from Extreme Off-Road LLC can still receive product support for their vehicles until the end of 2015, at which time the brand and entity will be surrendered. Sidewinder ATV vehicle owners are encouraged to call the parent company, Extreme Energy Solutions Inc., for any parts or service inquiries they may have.

Extreme Energy Solutions, Inc. plans to find a suiter for Extreme Off-Road LLC, which would include the intellectual property and design of the Sidewinder ATV.

“We still feel this is a great product for someone to manufacture and market, if it is there core focus and they are passionate about this area of recreational specialty vehicles. This type of thing would be a great fit for a business in the American Southwest where there is open riding country and people are always experimenting with designs in the niche space,” concluded Burlum.

Extreme Energy Solutions Announces Launch of its New Research and Development Division, E-Tech Performance

Source: Having years of experience in the fields of green tech, alternative fuel technology, and technical service processes, Extreme Energy Solutions establishes new Company division in furthering its next up and coming automotive innovation.

Ogdensburg, NJ.  August 11, 2015

It’s rare a company is able to recoup its losses associated with research and development of new products or services. According to the article, “Brand Flops,” published by Forbes Magazine, March, 31, 2010, well over 95% of new products introduced to the market fail according to research conducted by AcuPoll.

Putting into perspective that statistic, only 5% of all cost, financial and labor hours, associated with research and development are ever recouped in the through the commercialization of a product or service.

However it seems the green tech company, Extreme Energy Solutions, seems to have unique formula for beating the statistics. Since 2010, the Company has commercialized the majority of the products it has launched under its stewardship, having five active product/service lines of the seven it had introduced to the market.

Among the top performers are the product-service lines of Smart Emissions Reducer, Extreme Kleaner, and Extreme Xtra Fuel Treatments. Extreme Energy Solutions has also begun to distribute H2O Energy Flow (bottled water from Wisconsin), and continues to offer finance options of its technology via Fleet Worx Leasing.

Eager to capitalize on all the knowledge it acquired from its early days as a third party research and development consulting company; Extreme Energy Solutions was able to find a use for all of the data and research related to alternative fuel delivery systems and technologies for the transportation and auto industry.

Extreme Energy Solutions recently established E-Tech Performance, an entity founded with the intent to develop solutions for bridging the gap between hardware and software dedicated for use in the automotive industry. The company has three products under development of E-Tech, including E-Missions Automotive Intelligence, a software product concept with the intent to solve the challenge of allowing new emissions equipment to operate in cinque with the current automotive vehicle products offered by car manufactures today.

Samuel K. Burlum, CEO of Extreme Energy Solutions, Inc. explains…

“When we were a third party research entity, we discovered there was a need for a solution that would help hardware technology to be more adaptable to the current automotive platforms offered from vehicle manufacturers.

We observed many inventors whom would try to get the vehicle to react to their technology, when they should have been doing the opposite; they should have been tailoring their technology to the actual needs of the vehicle,” continued Burlum

Establishing E-Tech Performance will allow for us to continue our research in this area of expertise, in developing our three phases of our future product line associated with emissions reduction, fuel efficiency, and engine performance, in a software platform that might be able to someday be offered to engine and vehicle manufactures.

The other option is to develop tools and a platform that will allow for aftermarket devices to become more compatible with pre-existing conditions in which such devices or apparatuses must contend with. We see both options as a possibility and viable, however they are both long term strategies and such products are not developed and released overnight.”

E-Tech Performance LLC is a division of Extreme Energy Solutions, Inc., whereas the parent (Extreme) owns the majority of the start-up entity. The entity is still in its very early phases having less than 9 months in existence. E-Tech will still need additional funding dedicated to their assigned projects, staffing, and management. At this time, it is sharing services with Extreme to save cost.

E-Tech Performance will also offer consulting services to other inventors and developers in the same space. E-Tech’s key asset is its former research and data from Extreme’s early days as consultants to a company that dabbled in HHO technology, as well as its relationships and access to testing laboratories.

“Offering these services will help fund critical research needed for product development,” added Burlum, “Again on the product side, we are only in the concept phase, as I mentioned this is a long term and endeavor.”

“It was if we had to wait until the market caught up with our knowledge capital.”

E-Tech Performance’s overall goal is to develop a new engine management system aimed at helping the auto industry meet demands of emissions reduction initiatives while increasing fuel efficiency and performance of vehicles. E-Tech and its parent, Extreme, visions the platform as an option for engine and vehicle manufacturers to utilize in creating conditions where the software helps more of the “rubber to meet the road,” and for vehicles that utilize internal combustion engines to be more environmentally friendly.

carousel_image_9736c80ad8c15d141202_8fbe2c8fb0536639273d_dsc_0443“Everyone’s a winner here, everyone crossed the finish line,” said Sussex County Sheriff Michael Strada Saturday morning, at the conclusion of the first Sussex County Crime Stoppers 5K/10K Run at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, to benefit the Sussex County Sheriff’s Crime Stoppers.

The Sussex County Sheriff’s Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization that helps lead to the arrest, and indictment of criminals, paying up to a $1,000 cash reward to the tipster. About an hour prior to the race start, a passing and strong shower briefly hovered over the area, and then cleared. The sun returned, along with some humidity, with an occasional passing cooler breeze.

“It’s good to see the sun,” Andy Ball of Main Street Marketing and Events, who organized the 5K/10K event. Ball, said both courses were USA Track & Field (USATF) sanctioned. The 5K started and ended within the fairgrounds, and the 10K on Plains Road, with the same finish line as the 5K. Within the park, Ball asked participants of the 5K to first pause before the race for a moment of silence to remember the victims of September 11.

“We want to thank all of our military, our veterans, and all those who passed on,” Ball said, and the crowd cheered.

The race then started moments at 9:30am, with the group taking off. The 5K was led by Samuel Burlum, CEO & President of Extreme Energy Solutions, driving in a Sidewinder ATV, a low emissions vehicle sold by his company. The 10K was led by a Sussex County Sheriff’s Car.

There were 54 participants in the 5K, and 51 in the 10K race. Out of the 105 participants, 65 pre-registered for the event.

Brian Thomas of Ogdensburg was the overall winner of the 5K, with a total time of 20:25.2, followed by Catherine Stone of Hardyston at 20:36.0, Philip Gely of Newton at 22:50.9, and Howard Condit of Vernon at 23:10.9.

In the 10K, Stefan Alvinsson of Sandystown, N.J. finished at 38:56.0, Jeff Staple of Aambury, N.J., at 40:27.1, and Bill Bosmann of Rockaway, N.J. at 40:27.1.

“I’m a lifelong runner, I’ve stayed with it, and it’s about doing something consistently,” said Thomas.

Overall, Thomas said, “I was really happy with the course.”

Stone, who was the first for the women at the 5K race, and second overall, said, “This is a nice race, it was really fast, and clean.”

Eileen Cawley, a personal trainer from Lafayette, was another 5K participant. She placed number 15 overall, and had a time of 28:50.7. She ran with her daughter, Emma, who placed first for females in the 12 through 14 age group, and came in 21st overall, with a time of 30:18.6.

Cawley explained, “I try to make sure to teach her [Emma] about healthy living. I tell her, ‘you don’t want to try to win a prize, you want to get your time from your first 5K, and try to beat it.’”

Janet Dashio of Sandyston ran in the 10K. She was one of three participants from the Department of Child Protection and Permanency (formerly DYFS). She raced with co-workers Michele Quinn, and Judy Connell.

“We’re supporting our sheriff’s department,” Dashio said after the race.

She described the air on the course as “heavy and humid” for the day.

It was Dashio’s third 10K, and she has run many 5K’s, she said.

Joe Farinella of Andover Township was the oldest registered participant at 73 years old. Farinella participated in the 10K, after having only started running at age 68. He has run in the Goofy Challenge in Disney, and the New York Marathon, among his accolades.

“I love running,” said the retiree from Picatinny Arsenal.

“We’ll see what happens today,” Farinella said before the race, describing his average time for 5K’s at “28 and change”.

For the 10K, Farinella clocked in at 59:12.9, coming in number 34 of 51 participants.

Trophies were handed out for the top participants, and then ribbons in blue, red, and white, for first, second, and third place participants in each category.

Strada said for anyone who was not present to receive their ribbon at the end of the race, to please contact Lt. Larry Beller at the Sussex County Sheriff’s Department at: (973) 579-0865, extension 2501.

Of the race, Strada told The Alternative Press, “It’s all about bringing the community out, and raising awareness for the Crime Stoppers Program.”

Richard Bunce, Hopatcong Councilman, and Chair of the Sussex County Sheriff’s Crime Stoppers, said the group is seeking more commissioners, and encouraged attendees to volunteer.

“It’s a very worthy organization,” Bunce said.

“I think it [the race] went really well,” Strada continued. “I think it will continue to grow.”

“I see a lot of families here today, I really appreciate it, we at the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office, really appreciate your support,” Strada told the participants before handing out the awards.
